Brian Mahany

Brian Mahany, Trombone
Mr. Mahany received a B.A in Music Education/Performance from The University of Georgia and his M.M and A.D. degrees in trombone performance from Yale University.

He is currently serving as principal trombonist of the Princeton Symphony and is an active freelancer in the tri-state area, playing regularly with such groups as The New York City Opera, New York City Ballet, Brooklyn Philharmonic, New England Symphonic Ensemble, New Haven Symphony, Princeton Pro-Musica, Harrisburg Symphony, Greenwich Symphony, Bridgeport Symphony, School of American Ballet and the American Ballet Theater. He has also performed with the San Francisco Ballet, Andrea Bocelli, and most recent with the Mariinsky Orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev.

Mr. Mahany has recorded with Audra McDonald under the Sony label and Joesph Alessi under the Summit label.
